Great opportunity for children!

VSM Casting has been hired to cast a regional commercial that will primarily feature kids and moms, as well as a variety of background actors.  This is a paying commercial, with principal actors earning $600 or more for a one-day shoot, and extras earning $125 or more.

However, the shoot will be OVERNIGHT on the evening of Thursday, March 18th into the early morning hours of Friday, March 19th. We will try to get children out by midnight. We suggest parents make sure the child actors get sufficient sleep earlier in the day.

If you can make this shoot, we need to see you for a short videotape audition this Thursday, March 11th, 10:30 AM - 7 PM at Alix Adams, 9813 Merioneth Drive, Louisville, Kentucky. Take Taylorsville Road east, past the Stoneybrook Shopping Center in Jeffersontown. You will pass three gas stations on your right. At the third light past Stoneybrook (just before the railroad overpass), turn left onto Merioneth Drive. Alix Adams is the third building on the left. Look for the gray sign.

We are specifically casting for:

• Boys and girls, ages 5-11 for speaking roles. All ethnicities.
• Moms ages 30's to 40's. All ethnicities.
• We will also need a couple toddlers between the ages of 2-4. Non-speaking.
• Background actors include men, 30's to 40's and seniors, 50's to 60's, both male and female, All ethnicities.

Anderson's Mainstage Theatre will open it's 51st season with the award winning musical, "Cabaret."

Production dates for the musical, directed by Tommy Thomas and Jane Cornelious, will be April 29th, 30th, May 1st, 7th, and 8th. Music director is Penny Dyer.

Set in 1931 Berlin as the Nazis are rising to power, it focuses on nightlife at the seedy Kit Kat Klub and revolves around the 19-year-old Englishcabaret performer Sally Bowles and her relationship with young American writer Cliff Bradshaw. A sub-plot involves the doomed romance between German boarding house owner Fräulein Schneider and her elderly suitor Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit vendor. Overseeing the action is the Master of Ceremonies at the Kit Kat Klub which serves as a constant metaphor for the current state of society in Weimar Germany throughout the show. Songs include "Wilkommen," "The Money Song," "Cabaret," and "Don't Tell Mama."

Auditions will be held March 13th and 14th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Central Christian Church located at 923 Jackson Street, Anderson, In. Due to the musical's subject matter, auditioners must be age 17 or older.
