$75 day of shoot ( 3 hours) at Media Merchant in Lexington.. must audition for part.

"Lane and Russell" Crew Needed

"Lane & Russell" will have its first big shoot on the 17th, 18th and 19th of September (weather permitting). The plan is to get every outdoor shot while it still pretty much looks like summer outside. I will be looking to add a couple of people to round out the crew. We will have a slot for one more PA - preferably someone who wants to jump in, learn, and help with grip gear setup under the supervision of a professional grip and do any other running around that might be needed.

Also, I am wanting to chronicle the production with as much behind the scenes footage as possible - with footage of shots as they are in progress as well as cast / crew interviews. The footage can be run and gun, but I am going to need someone who is fairly capable shooting still yet.

We'll be working on a larger scale geared towards theatrical release level production values. We'll be using the Red One cinema camera, a full grip truck, generator powered outdoor HMI lights, steadicam and a 24 ft. crane, professional storyboards, etc. The DP has several distributed features (Sony Pictures and Lionsgate) under his belt.

48 Hour Film Festival in Somerset

SCC Theatre's Third Annual 48 Hour Film Festival Activities Begin

Activities for this year's 48 Hour Film Festival held by Somerset Community College Theatre's Digital Video Productions will begin on Sunday, September 12th and conclude on Sunday, September 19th. Local Film teams will conceive, shoot, edit, output and screen a film of no more than six minutes.

Individuals who are interested in taking part are invited to the 48 Hour Film Festival "meet and greet" which will be held by the Somerset Filmmaking Collective in SCC's Stoner Little Theatre at 5:30 pm on Sunday, September 12. This meeting is designed to allow film teams to come together in preparation for the Festival. It is also a chance for individuals to come in contact with teams who still need personnel or other individuals who are interested in forming a team.

Somerset Film Collective will introduce the concept of the 48 Hour Film Festival and screen past entries. Filmmakers who have participated previously in this event will discuss the process and offer tips and tricks for a successful completion of a project.

The Festival itself will begin at 6:30pm on Friday, September 17th with a kick-off meeting. The four elements which must be present in each of the films will be revealed. Each film must incorporate a specific prop, costume element, line of dialogue and character.

Hi Everyone!

City on a Hill Productions is in production again! The Life Project is a short resource video for crisis pregnancy centers around the country encouraging women to choose life. We are so excited about the video and would love to have you take part. This is only a short 5 day shoot, but we are in need of your time and generosity.

We would love to have you participate as background actors. For those of you who are interested in filmmaking/acting, this is a great opportunity to see how a professional set is run, and for those of you who just have hearts for this ministry, we love having you on set and having the privilege to get to work with and know you.

Although we definitely need volunteers, there is limited opportunity. Please let me know as soon as possible what date you would be interested, and I will email you back our need and details of the shoot. Casting selections will be handled first by casting need then by first come.
